Barrett firearms manufacturing was introduced in 1982 by Ronnie Barrett. Company is mainly indulged in making Barrett M82 anti material rifle. It was not so popular till 1989. They first become popular in Sweden. After that United States purchased them for their armed forces and they used it during gulf war. Now this company is the supplier of rifles to many of the countries. Now it is dealing in variety of rifles for example .50 BMG rifles, including the M99, M95 as well as M99-1. They are not so heavy as before and easy to carry. Their cost is also less.

Barrett is currently engaged in two projects and one of them is REC7 and the second one is XM109. The first one is quite powerful and has crossed power factor of 5.56x45mm NATO. Barrett has become more popular nowadays and they are providing better services day by day. Side by side its use has become prohibited in many countries like California. But all of their outputs or rifles are not rejected but those which are having high capacity than needed are banned to be used. Still their market area is wide and they are performing well in every regard.
